Hands-On Practicum (HOP)
This is a short, one-week job search training session designed for Internationally Educated Professionals/Skilled Workers which builds on what you already know. It provides you with the practical tools and abilities that you require in order to embark on your new successful career life in Canada. In the workshop series, you will learn all about your occupation in Canada, as well as where and how you fit.
This program offers training on Canadian workplace culture and sector-specific language to internationally trained professionals who have gained work experience related to the environmental sector. However, please note that this is not a technical training program.
The program curriculum is a total of 180 hours and participants will attend approximately seven weeks of classroom training. Program delivery consists of two components: classroom training and internship of six to 12 weeks.
This is a networking program that brings together engineers based on their common professional interest. The session allows our clients who are now looking for job opportunities in the engineering profession to interact with those who are already in the field. As a result, the latter will have a platform to share their experiences with the former, and help guide them in the right direction.
This is an informal, mentoring and networking program for nurses. it brings together nurses who are already LPNs or RNs with those who are interested in pursuing their profession here in Canada.
